Klapkast

A product should be
easy to produce, assembled, use, throw away and recycle.

Designing on minimal living,
Rik explored fulfilling my above mentioned
requirements by designing a shelf.
Having worked in a metal factory for five years.
he have come to appreciate well produced metal objects with a
straightforward and repetitive manufacturing procedure.
Allowing for scratches and marks to show in his design
because that shows the marks the material has been through.

The production process
included cutting, drilling, bending and welding.
When the life of the object has come to an end, it can be brought to a metal dump,
allowing the consumer to get money in return and the metal to be recycled.
